California state requires 24 semester unit of accounting and business courses each to be eligible for CPA exam
can anyone explain what exactly 24 semester unit means???? what no. of courses does it make up to???does it make 24 courses or less?? thanks.

'Semester Units' means college hours of accounting courses. As most courses are 3 hour classes, that means you need to have at least 8 classes in accounting/business. Accounting classes can include: Acct I, Acct II, Cost/Managerial Acct, Tax I, Tax II, Audit, etc. Business classes can include: Finance, Business Statistics, Business Policy, Business Law, etc.
